The agreement

These Terms are a contract between you and I'M LIT Learning LLC ("BlocTime," "we," "us"), a Michigan limited liability company. They cover the BlocTime iPhone app and anything we offer inside it.

By downloading, opening, or subscribing to BlocTime, you accept these Terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you're under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission to subscribe.

How we handle your data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.

What you're licensed to do

We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use BlocTime on Apple devices you own or control, for your own use. That's it.

You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app; reverse-engineer or decompile it except where law says you can; strip out our name or marks; or use it to build a competing product.

Subscriptions and pricing

Some BlocTime features require a paid subscription. Current plans:

Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude tax unless stated. Outside the U.S., Apple converts and displays the price in your local currency, and the amount charged may differ with exchange rates and local taxes. The price shown on the purchase screen in the App Store at the moment you subscribe is the price that governs.

We may change prices for future billing periods. If a change affects a subscription you already hold, Apple will notify you and ask for your consent before charging the new amount, and you can cancel instead. Promotional or introductory rates apply only for the period stated, then move to the standard rate above.

All payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never handle your payment details.

The 3-day free trial

New subscribers may be offered a 3-day free trial. During it you get full access at no charge.

• One trial per Apple ID. If you've used a BlocTime trial before, or you're resubscribing, you may not be eligible and billing starts immediately.
• Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends or your plan begins and your Apple ID is charged automatically.
• If you cancel during the trial, access continues through the final trial day and no payment is taken.
• Starting a paid plan during an active trial forfeits the unused portion of the trial.
• Trial availability, length, and eligibility are set in the App Store and may change for new subscribers.

Auto-renewal

BlocTime subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel, your subscription rolls over into another term of the same length and your Apple ID is charged the then-current price.

• Apple charges your account within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Renewal continues indefinitely until you cancel.
• If a charge fails, Apple may retry, and access may pause until payment goes through.

You can see your renewal date any time under Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

Cancelling

You cancel through Apple, not through us — we have no ability to cancel a subscription on your behalf.

• On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → BlocTime → Cancel Subscription.
• Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
• After cancelling, paid features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for. Nothing is cut off early.

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancel in Settings first.

Refunds

Apple is the merchant of record, so all refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies — we can't issue, approve, or deny them.

To request one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and choose the BlocTime purchase. Apple decides the outcome.

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and there are no partial refunds for unused time in a billing period. If you live somewhere with a statutory withdrawal or cooling-off right, that right still applies.

Your responsibilities

Use BlocTime lawfully and reasonably. Specifically, you agree to:

• Keep your device, Apple ID, and iOS permissions secure and current.
• Choose your own blocking settings, and accept that blocking a communication app may delay messages or calls you'd otherwise receive.
• Not use BlocTime to restrict another adult's device without their knowledge and consent.
• Not attempt to break, overload, or abuse the app, our systems, or the AI planner — including using it to generate unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.
• Keep responsibility for anything you type into the app. Don't enter confidential information belonging to someone else.

AI-generated plans

The AI Project Planner turns a goal you describe into suggested tasks, sessions, and timings using a third-party AI model. It is a drafting aid, nothing more.

• Output can be wrong. Time estimates, task breakdowns, and any factual claims may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. Check anything that matters before acting on it.
• It's not professional advice. Plans are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, academic, or career advice, and don't create a professional relationship of any kind.
• Results vary. Similar prompts can produce different plans, and we don't promise any specific output, quality, or availability.
• You own what you do with it. You're responsible for reviewing plans before you follow them and for anything that follows from that decision. Ownership of AI output can be uncertain under copyright law, and other users may receive similar text.
• A third party processes your prompt. What you type is sent to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Don't submit sensitive personal, health, or confidential information.

We may change, limit, or discontinue AI features, including usage caps to keep costs sustainable.

Blocking is not a guarantee

BlocTime relies on Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks. Those frameworks are Apple's, and their behavior can change with any iOS release.

We don't promise that every app will be blocked, that a session can never be bypassed, or that the app will work uninterrupted on every device and iOS version. A determined person can find ways around any screen-time tool. BlocTime is a support for the habits you're building, not a lock we can guarantee.

Ownership

BlocTime, its name, logo, design, code, and content belong to I'M LIT Learning LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms give you a license to use the app, not any ownership in it.

The content you create — your goals, plans, notes, and settings — stays yours. If you send us feedback or a feature idea, you allow us to use it freely, without payment or obligation.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

BlocTime is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any promise that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, I'M LIT Learning LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost productivity, lost data, or missed opportunities, arising from your use of BlocTime.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for BlocTime in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.

Some places don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited as much as the law permits.

Apple is not responsible for BlocTime or for any claim relating to it. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.

Ending access

You can stop using BlocTime at any time by cancelling and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, misuse the app, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue BlocTime while you hold a paid subscription, we'll give reasonable notice and you may request a pro-rated refund through Apple.

Sections on ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive the end of this agreement.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Wayne County, Michigan, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction. If you're a consumer elsewhere, mandatory protections in your home country still apply.

If a provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing something isn't a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. The version stamp at the top of this page moves with every revision, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use BlocTime after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't, cancel and stop using the app.
